Happy Solemnity!
Let’s begin our year together, with Mary
Happy Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God! 🤍
While most of the world is shouting their New Year’s resolutions from the rooftops, we’re over here celebrating the greatest woman in the history of humanity. And it’s such a jubilant feast.
We went to the vigil Mass last night, and they did an incredible job honoring the beauty of Our Lady and her role as the Mother of God. Every single song was intentionally chosen in her honor, and it felt like a true celebration. It was so reverent, joyful, and deeply grounding. I left mass feeling so grateful!
That’s the kind of energy I want to bring into 2026.
Not “me, me, me” energy. Mary’s energy.
Her yes to God set in motion the entire story of salvation. She said yes to becoming Jesus’ mother even though she knew it would be hard. She trusted that God would take care of her, even when the road ahead was uncertain.
And He does that for us too. We just have to ask. And then listen.
That’s probably the hardest part for me. The listening (and then doing what He asks).
So often, we try to wrestle the reins out of God’s hands and do things in our own timing, according to our own plan (myself included!). But that’s not what He’s calling us to.
I also see this so clearly in the way we approach our health.
We make plans. We set rules. “New Year, New Me!” We decide how things should look and how quickly they should change. And when they don’t unfold the way we hoped, it’s easy to assume the problem is a lack of discipline or willpower.
And more often than not, something really isoff. But what’s missing isn’t usually the discipline or willpower. It’s guidance and support... and a whole lot more grace.
This is the heart of the work I do in health coaching. I work with women to help them learn how to pay attention to their bodies instead of pushing through. To notice what’s actually happening and to respond with a personalized plan to meet their unique goals and needs.
For some women, this season feels clear and hopeful.
For others, it still feels heavy, messy, or unfinished.
Both are allowed!
If caring for your health has been on your heart, but you’ve been unsure how to move forward without repeating the same cycle of pressure and burnout, you’re not alone. And you’re not behind.
For some, January really does feel like a true beginning, and you may be motivated ad ready to improve your health this year. If that’s you, I’m in your corner!
But here’s the truth: the excitement and motivation that often come with January eventually quiet down. Some people stick with their resolutions. Most do not. If that’s ever happened to you, you’re not doing anything wrong. That’s not a personal failure. It’s human.
Most of us don’t need more hype to feel better. We need steady guidance, encouragement, and support when real life settles back in. That’s where meaningful change actually takes root. And that’s the kind of work I do with the women I support at Fiat Wellness. I’m committed to being there for them not just when motivation is high, but when it fades and questions start to surface.
If that sounds like the kind of support you need, I offer free discovery calls as a space for discernment. These calls are for women who are ready to explore a more intentional, ongoing approach to their health and wellness goals with personalized, 1:1 support. There’s no pressure and no commitment, just a conversation to help you prayerfully explore whether working together would be a good fit.

And whether or not this is your season to take that step, I’m grateful that you’re here. I’ll still be here when the excitement of January fades or when you’re ready for guidance that meets you where you are. Feel free to hit reply to this email, I love hearing what this season looks like for you!
Oh, and if you haven’t done these before, Catholic comedian Jen Fulwiler created both a Word of the Year and a Saint of the Year generator. I think it’s a fun way to start off the year! (And you can regenerate words and Saints as many times as you want if they don’t resonate.) My word is BOLD and my Saint is St. Catherine of Sweden. Let me know what you got if you do it!
With grace,
Andrea
